AIDS Services of Austin is committed to making your internship experience rewarding and valuable. We are willing to work with a student’s educational plan and coordinate with departments within our agency, such as social work, nutrition, etc. Unfortunately, due to resource restrictions, we are unable to offer stipends to our interns.

Internship opportunities at ASA are offered on a formal (school sponsored) or informal basis. The minimum time commitment for all internships is 15-20 hours a week for one semester (Spring, Summer or Fall). There is no maximum time commitment. All internships require the following skills: basic computer knowledge and good organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills. Interns must be responsible, dependable, and able to work with a diverse group of people.

The Development Department at AIDS Services of Austin (ASA) is seeking a digital content intern to work with the Communications Coordinator. The digital content intern will work to reach clients, donors, staff, and community supporters through visual striking graphics, social media, blog posts, and other digital avenues.

We are seeking an intern who loves a good challenge and is smart, creative and ready to make a difference. You will be working on projects that have a real-world impact on the people we serve. You will also facilitate event planning, marketing, development, donor stewardship, and other projects as assigned by the Communications Coordinator. 

Qualifications: You should be proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and WordPress CMS. HTML and CSS skills a plus. Editing skills and familiarity with MLA and AP style a plus.
