pieced by: Lisa Marie Hendricks quilted by: Gretchen Thompson "Hard Candy Christmas"
"I made the quilt, 'Hard Candy Christmas,' in memory of my little brother Ronnie, who died of AIDS in December 1992." ~Lisa Hendricks
This quilt was pieced by Lisa Marie Hendricks to honor the memory of her brother Ronnie and to help raise money for people here in Central Texas living with HIV and AIDS. It is 65" x 65" and is 100% machine-washable cotton.
Ronald Hendricks lived from 1953 to 1992. During his short life, he earned his PhD and a prestigious Fulbright scholarship. He is "still loved and still missed."
The quilt will be on display at the OctoTea Dance on October 11 and again during AIDS Walk Austin on October 18.
