The AIDS crisis continues. Thanks to medical advances, the number of AIDS related deaths has decreased. However, HIV infection rates continue to rise, and AIDS has no cure. These trends mean that the pool of people requiring services from HIV and AIDS organizations is larger than ever before.
Organizations like AIDS Services of Austin and the Walk's sharing agencies need our help to combat the changing nature of the epidemic. In an age where government funding is faltering, community support from folks like you and me has become increasingly necessary to ensure the survival of vital AIDS services, prevention, and education programs.
You and I have an opportunity to impact the lives of thousands of people living with HIV and AIDS in Central Texas.
